By using Telecare Anywhere’s telehealth services (“Services”), you agree to our Terms & Conditions. Our Services connect injured workers and employers with licensed providers through our HIPAA-compliant virtual platform, Telewriter.
Services Provided
Telecare Anywhere (“TCA”) provides telehealth evaluations, follow-ups, and case management for workers’ compensation and occupational health cases. Our services are not intended for medical emergencies; please call 911 for emergencies.
Eligibility & Responsibilities
- Patients must be located in a state where TCA providers are licensed.
- Patients agree to provide accurate information and participate in visits from a private, safe location.
- Visits should not be conducted while driving or performing unsafe tasks.
Clinical & Billing Information
- Providers may refer patients to in-person evaluation when medically necessary.
- If covered by Workers’ Compensation, billing is handled directly through the insurer or employer. Patients may be responsible for uncovered costs.
Compliance
All services are provided in accordance with HIPAA, OSHA, and state-specific workers’ compensation laws, including N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. §325-1.26. Information may be shared only as permitted by law or under established Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).
2. Privacy Policy
Telecare Anywhere safeguards your Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA. We collect and use information only for care, billing, and operations.
Information We Collect
- Personal identifiers (name, DOB, contact, employer)
- Health information (injury details, treatment notes, prescriptions)
- Technical information (device, IP, browser logs for security)
Use & Disclosure
Your PHI is used for treatment, billing, compliance, and quality review. We share data only with authorized healthcare partners, insurers, TPAs, and vendors under HIPAA-compliant BAAs.
We do not sell or use PHI for marketing purposes.
Text, Email & Phone Communication
We may contact you via phone, email, or text to confirm appointments, send reminders, or coordinate care. By providing your contact information, you consent to these communications. You can opt out anytime by replying “STOP” to texts or contacting our privacy team.
We use secure communication platforms whenever possible; however, standard text and unencrypted email may carry privacy risks. No contact data is shared or sold for marketing.
Security & Retention
We use encryption, role-based access, and multi-factor authentication through HIPAA-compliant systems (Microsoft 365, Formstack). Medical records are maintained per HIPAA and state record-retention laws.

3. HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices
THIS NOTICE DESCRIBES HOW MEDICAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOU MAY BE USED AND DISCLOSED AND HOW YOU CAN GET ACCESS TO THIS INFORMATION.
Our Duties
- We are legally required to maintain the privacy of your PHI.
- We must notify you in the event of a data breach.
- We will follow the terms outlined in this Notice.
How We Use & Disclose PHI
- Treatment: Share medical information with providers to coordinate care.
- Payment: Submit claims to insurers, employers, or TPAs for reimbursement.
- Healthcare Operations: Conduct audits, credentialing, quality improvement, and compliance.
- Required by Law: Disclose PHI to regulatory bodies, including the Workers’ Compensation Board.
- Public Health & Safety: Report threats, abuse, or communicable diseases as required.
Authorization
Written authorization is required for any use or disclosure not outlined above (e.g., marketing). Authorizations may be revoked in writing at any time.
